Half-Staff North Carolina Flag – Honoring Calvin Murrow
North Carolina State Flags to fly at half-staff Friday, May 10th in honor of NC Senator Calvin Coolidge Murrow.
Senator Murrow represented Guilford County in the NC Senate from 1969 – 1977 and was a member and chairman of the North Carolina State Ports Authority from 1973 – 1976. Senator Murrow served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II where he participated in the liberation of Guam in 1944.
