Half-Staff Arizona Flags – Honoring Justin Sisson

American Flags and Arizona Flags to fly at half-staff Wednesday, June 5th in honor of US Army Second Lieutenant Justin Sisson.

2nd Lieutenant Sisson died on June 3, 2013 from injuries sustained in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He had been assigned to the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), and was based at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

UPDATE: Flags are to also fly at half-staff Saturday, June 15th. This is the scheduled date for services and interment for Justin Sisson.

Half-Staff Washington State Flags – Honoring Sean O’Connell

American Flags and Washington State Flags to fly at half-staff Thursday, June 6th in Washington State in honor of Washington State Patrol Trooper Sean O’Connell. Officer O’Connell was killed in the line of duty on May 31st.

Arkansas State Flags to fly at half-staff Wednesday, June 5th in honor of Scott County Sheriff Cody Carpenter. Sheriff Carpenter died while attempting to save two individuals from flood waters in the line of duty.

Half-Staff New York Flags – Honoring Mariano Raymundo

American Flags and New York State Flags to fly at half-staff Wednesday, June 5th in the State of New York in honor of US Army Private 1st Class Mariano Raymundo. Pfc Raymundo died while serving in Afghanistan. He was a member of the 210th Brigade Support Battalion, part of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team of the 10th Mountain Division.

American Flags and New Jersey Flags to fly at half-staff Wednesday, June 5th in the State of New Jersey in honor of US Senator Frank Lautenberg.

According to the office of the governor:
Senator Frank R. Lautenberg was a proud representative of the State of New Jersey, a dedicated public servant, a veteran of the Second World War, and an accomplished leader in business. Senator Lautenberg served in the United States Army Signal Corps from 1942 to 1946, and was the last serving World War II veteran in the United States Senate. In 1982, Senator Lautenberg was elected to the United States Senate, and was re-elected in 1988 and 1994. After a brief retirement, Senator Lautenberg was elected to his fourth term as a United States Senator in 2002, and a fifth term in 2008.
