Half-Staff Kentucky Flags – Honoring Grace, Herrera & Hicks
American Flags and Kentucky Flags to fly at half-staff Friday, August 23rd in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in honor of Keith Grace Jr., Octavio Herrera & Jamar Hicks.
According to the office of the governor and the Department of Defense:
Three soldiers assigned to Fort Campbell were killed August 11th while serving in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
—US Army Specialist Keith Grace Jr., of Baytown, TX, died of injuries suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, KY.
—US Army Staff Sergeant Octavio Herrera, of Caldwell, Idaho, died of injuries suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, KY.
—US Army Sergeant Jamar Hicks, of Little Rock, Arkansas, died of injuries suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, KY.
