Half-Staff American Flags – Honoring National Fallen Firefighters Memorial 2013
Friday, October 4th, 2013American Flags to fly at half-staff throughout the nation on Sunday, October 6th in honor of National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service. This declaration is in accordance with Public Law 107-51 (passed in 2001) to honor firefighters and emergency service personnel who have lost their lives while working to ensure the safety of others. This day also signifies the beginning of the annual Fire Prevention Week.
