Half-Staff Kentucky Flags – Honoring William Lacey
Wednesday, January 15th, 2014American Flags and Kentucky Flags to fly at half-staff Thursday, January 16th in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in honor of US Army Sgt. 1st Class William Lacey. Sgt. 1st Class Lacey died of injuries suffered when his unit was attacked with rocket propelled grenades while serving in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. Lacey joined the US Army in 2003 and was serving his 5th tour (3 in Iraq and 2 in Afghanistan).
