Half-Staff Hawaii Flags – Honoring Samuel Sang Hoy Lee

American Flags and Hawaii Flags to fly at half-staff Saturday, February 18th in the state of Hawaii in honor of former State Representative Samuel Sang Hoy Lee.

According to the office of the governor:
Former Representative Lee served the Mililani district from 1986 to 1996. He was succeeded in the House of Representatives by his partner in life, Marilyn. Prior to serving in the House, Sam Lee served in the Department of State’s Foreign Service.

Half-Staff Arizona Flags – Honoring Kyler Estrada

American Flags and Arizona Flags to fly at half-staff Thursday, February 16th in the state of Arizona in honor of Kyler Estrada.

According to the office of the governor:
Petty Officer 3rd Class Kyler Estrada died February 14 as a result of a non-combat related training incident in Djibouti. Estrada, a Navy hospital corpsman, was assigned to the 11th Marine Expeditionary unit based at Camp Pendleton, California.

American Flags and Virginia Flags to fly at half-staff Thursday, February 16th at the Capitol Complex in honor of Alexandria Fire Department Paramedic Joshua Weissman.

Flags are also to be flown at half-staff in the following counties: County of Arlington and County of Fairfax.

American Flags and Kansas Flags to fly at half-staff Saturday, February 11th in the state of Kansas in honor of Judge Wesley Brown.

According to the office of the governor:
Judge Brown was the oldest active federal judge in U.S. History. He was born in 1907 in Hutchinson, and earned his law degree from Kansas City School of Law in 1933. Judge Brown served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946, and was appointed to the federal bench by President Kennedy in 1962.

American Flags and Missouri Flags to fly at half-staff Monday, February 6th in St. Charles and Lincoln counties in Missouri in honor of firefighter Douglas Haase.

According to the office of the governor:
Douglas D. “Doug” Haase was a firefighter with the City of St. Charles Fire Department who died in the line of duty on Feb. 1, 2012.

Firefighter Haase served as the Fire Chief for the Lincoln County Fire Protection District from 1982 to 1984. In 1984 he joined the City of St. Charles Fire Department, where he served as a firefighter, engineer and paramedic for 27 years.

Half-Staff Arizona Flags – Honoring Michael Ryan

American Flags and Arizona Flags to fly at half-staff Friday, February 3rd in the state of Arizona in honor of former Arizona Supreme Court Justice Michael Ryan.

According to the office of the governor:
Justice Ryan spent 24 years on the bench as a superior court and appellate court judge and culminated his career as a Supreme Court justice. Additionally, he was a Marine Corps veteran serving in Vietnam, and the recipient of two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star.
