Captain Nicholas Rozanski, Sergeant First Class Shawn Hannon and Sergeant First Class Jeffrey Rieck all lost their lives while serving our country in Afghanistan.

According to the office of the governor:
Sgt. Jarboe died of injuries sustained in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was assigned to A Troop, 4th Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.

Governor Neil Abercrombie recognized the king’s accomplishments stating, “King George Tupou V upon taking the throne in 2006 championed a more open system of government, advocating for technological improvements, introducing a more open economy, and pioneering a process of peaceful democratization.”

Staff Sgt Jesse J. Grindey of the United States Army lost his life while serving his country during Operation Enduring Freedom. Staff Sgt. Grindey was a member of the 287th Military Police Company, 97th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Brigade, Fort Riley, Kansas.
