The flag of the Commonwealth of Dominica, adopted in 1978, is comprised of a background of dark green with a three-colored cross of yellow, black, and white in the center. Superimposed on the cross is a red circular emblem featuring a Sisserou parrot, the National Bird of Dominica, encircled by ten green stars outlined in yellow. The stars, a symbol of hope, represent the ten parishes of the country. |
